Barbara Hunter

Thought she grew up in Jasper, for the past decade Barbara Hunter has called Lake City home. As a self-taught artist, Barbara began painting with acrylics and has recently taken up oil painting. With an outgoing personality and a knack for making connections, Barbara’s family jokingly says she could even make a friend out of a rock. She is an active member of the Art League of North Florida and volunteers at the Gateway Art Gallery where she exhibits her artwork. She loves getting to know the other local artists and always looks forward to the regular gatherings and events. Outside of her art career, Barbara is an avid reader and enjoys traveling with her husband Keith. She is a true people person and loves to interact with others, always finding a way to make meaningful connections. Stop by the Gallery and say hi!
