Last updated: July 12, 2026
The Art League of North Florida, Inc. dba Gateway Art Gallery is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
Our Commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
Measures We Take
- Providing text alternatives for non-text content including images
- Ensuring sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
- Supporting keyboard navigation throughout the site
- Using semantic HTML to support screen readers
- Providing clear, descriptive link text
- Ensuring forms have proper labels
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to identify and address these gaps. Known areas we are working to improve include:
- Some older artwork images may have limited alt text descriptions
- Some third-party embedded content (such as Square checkout) is outside our direct control
Physical Accessibility
Gateway Art Gallery is committed to being accessible to all visitors in person as well. Please contact us in advance if you have specific accessibility needs when visiting the gallery.
